Star News about ECOSS!
We thank Callum from The Star Mail who visited us recently and has written a wonderful article about how ECOSS is striving to improve Food Security for our Community.
We are constantly coming up with new ways that we can educate, inform and share the ECOSS vision of Ecological and Social Sustainability.
Last week ECOSS hosted a Year 11 VCAL class for a whole day excursion. They all worked in the Food Forest, made wood fired pizzas and participated in a hands on clay session.
We also delivered a day incursion running worm spaghetti and worm farm making at a Yarra Ranges School. These kids will be all teaching their parents when they get home!
On Thursday we were able to deliver lovingly harvested ECOSS grown oranges and lemons to Oonah Tuckerbag Program as part of our regular Crops for Community program donations.
On Friday it was very windy at the ECOSS Valley Market, however we delivered as usual – please continue to support this vital community market.
We had a huge delivery of local community compost that will feed our crops. Thanks to the Dhamma Aloka Vipassana Meditation Centre!
In the Coop on Saturday we hosted the Pottery Fundraiser which was hugely successful. Thanks to everyone who supported keeping our Pottery Studio open!
On Saturday we hosted the Rare and Heritage Fruit Tree Scion swap alongside Melganics Chai and Chat and open.
