For the first time since arriving in Australia more than ten years ago, we have found a true sense of community.

As a small immigrant family with our cultural roots far from this land, Ecoss has become a place where we found belonging—family in people we are not related to, with whom we share our stories, culture, and daily lives. This is the environment in which we want our daughter to grow.

The weekly Friday Markets have become an essential part of our routine, providing a welcoming space to connect with friends and neighbours from Wesburn and across the Yarra Valley.

Also, we are able to purchase the finest quality BioDynamic Vegetables from Silvertine Biodynamic Farm, located at ECOSS, drink great wine and brew local beer by Peter and Janet and enjoy delicious Tacos and Chocolate from our family friend Fernando.

Larger events such as Rhythms of the World, Ecotopia and Twilight Markets create powerful moments of connection, bringing together neighbouring communities and celebrating cultural diversity.

We are so proud to help as volunteers and support these amazing projects and community.

The work that Leanne and the team does to sustain and maintain Ecoss is invaluable.

They provide and protect a space that strengthens community ties, fosters inclusion, and creates meaningful connections between people from diverse backgrounds.
