Thank you so much to everyone for all you brought to the community at Ecotopia 2024. The Opening Event @permacultureweek.
Starting with being Welcomed by Aunty Kim Wandin means a lot to the energy and flow of the event.
Many comments were made about the breadth of the entertainment stretching from Storytime by Your Libraries, to the inclusive@jigsawjumps with beautiful honouring of Sam Knight, to the Youth performances by Little Yarra Ensembles, and the mindblowing Tilda and Stella, with the multicultural inclusion of @forrolamparina, the youth engagement and joy of @bothmusicc , to the festival vibes of Girl Eats Boy.
The roving performance by Roberto of the Connies brought it all together beautifully.
The market looked exceptional and offered many educational and engagement opportunities, including clay play and Native Animals for the little ones. The food was diverse and delicious.
We feel Ecotopia brought much joy and warmth to the community, encouraging connectedness and togetherness in an environmentally sensitive way.
A special thanks to all of the volunteers, staff and ECOSS Committee of Management who helped in many ways to make the event possible.
