Excitement is increasing as we lock in all the performing artists, stalls and displays for this year’s Ecotopia Earth Festival.
On the Main Stage we will have a wonderful Welcome to Country with Wurundjeri Elder Aunty Kim Wandin. Following this we will be graced with the incredible talents of Tilda and Stella- who are pocket sized young proteges on the Violin. Following on we are thrilled to showcase the Little Yarra Steiner School Ensemble string orchestra.
Also on the stage we have BOTH- are a young musical outfit from the Dandenong Ranges. Girl Eats Boy-Welcome to the electrifying world of “Girl Eats Boy,” the dynamic duo hailing from the picturesque landscapes of country Victoria, and ending the evening we have Forró Lamparina-who delivers to the public an authentic experience with traditional instruments and arrangements of a very popular genre of Brazilian music/party called forró.
For the little ones we have The Dreaming Space Circus performing their famous Permaculture Puppet Show, and Eastern Regional Libraries offering Permaculture themed Storytime in the dome.
For the thrill-seekers we are stoked to have Jigsaw Jumps offering bike jump fun (this was extremely popular in 2022), alongside UpCycles which will be open and selling our upcycled bikes for your pleasure.
Speaking of pleasure- the food- yes the wonderful food- you can buy food to eat, as well as local producers products to take home to enhance your pantries. Crafts and locally made goodies will also be available at the large eco market.
Most importantly this is an Environment festival- and the opening of Permaculture Week 2024. We will have lots of local Not for Profit environment stalls offering information, and seeking your help to look after our local environment.
You can also buy Native plants and seedlings with expert advice from ECOSS Nursery Manager. Also we will have a Native Animal display offering important education on our Native animals.
