Yarra Valley ECOSS 20th Birthday Fundraising Dinner Celebration!
Yarra Valley ECOSS is 20 years old this year and a big 20th birthday celebration dinner and fundraising auction is being held in the COOP on Saturday, May 16 from 6pm.
The Committee would like to invite all the people who have been involved in ECOSS since its earliest days.
ECOSS has come a long way since its inception in 2006 as a community environment hub and is now a vibrant centre offering a huge variety of programs, enterprises and projects. These range from the Upcycles bike project to the All Abilities Crops for Community program, the schools’ environmental education program, the Food forest, the Silvertine Biodynamic Market Garden, the community Pottery Studio and many more. ECOSS is widely known for its outstanding events such as the annual Ecotopia festival.The emphasis remains on the environment and the community!
From a very humble beginning and with an outstanding staff contribution and significant support from the Yarra Ranges Council and other funding bodies ECOSS is now seen as the major Yarra Valley community hub.
We would like to invite you to come and join us for a delicious meal, drinks, music and some reminiscing over the long road that has led us to this point. There will also be a fundraising auction during the evening. The entertaining auctioneer will provide lots of fun and enthusiasm and the auction will include many desirable items such as weekends away and paintings by local artists.
