Silvertine Farm
Overview
A New Chapter for Silvertine Farm
Some of you will have caught a whisper around the market stalls, so we wanted to share it properly: Silvertine Farm has a new team of custodians, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be looking after this special patch of earth.
If you’ve been part of the Valley community for a while, you’ll know Silvertine is woven right through ECOSS’s story. It was the farm-gate sales here, back in those strange early days of 2020, that grew into the Friday ECOSS Valley Market we all love today. So for us this isn’t a changing of the guard so much as the next chapter of something this community built together.
First, the important bit: nothing changes for your veggie basket. Fresh Silvertine produce will keep turning up every Friday at the ECOSS Valley Market (3.30–6pm) and at the Monthly Food & Farmers Market (4th Saturday), just as it always has.
The certified-organic, biodynamic way of growing that Silvertine is known for continues too — straight from our own beds as soon as we’re up to speed with the planting, and topped up by trusted local growers in the meantime so the stall stays full, fresh and seasonal.
We owe an enormous thank you to Josh and Tobias, who have poured years of heart and skill into this soil. They’re not disappearing — they’re walking alongside us through a careful handover, and we’re soaking up everything they’ll teach us.
And here’s our gentle ask: please be patient with us as we learn the ropes — the seasons, the soil, the rhythm of the place. Come and say hello at the stall, lend a hand in the garden, share what you know, or join us as a volunteer. We’d love to put faces to this community we’re now part of.
With gratitude to ECOSS, the volunteers, and all of you — we can’t wait to grow alongside you.
