Hi Friends,
Please join us to welcome Bodhi Ashah for his first time as Feature Poet, this month on the 10th March, 2023.
Going forward we’ve made some alterations to our format; one being that we are going to primarily feature local Yarra Valley talent as our Feature Poets. There is so much talent in the Valley and we invite you to put yourself forward as a Feature Poet or join us in the Open Mic section of the evening.
Also to stay true to the philosophy of The Dreaming Space Academy, where our evenings are held, we are now opening the floor to families and their children to create the future poets of this generation! Families will be invited to do a poetic exercise and then share their musings and join us for supper. Free entry for all the children!
In addition, we’d like to thank the great musicians we’ve had on the open mic at the last couple of gatherings, but we have decided we want to stay true to the spoken-word theme. You’re welcome to share original pieces of writing and ‘a cappella’ (without-instrumental-accompaniment) songs, using only the instrument of the voice.
However, if you’d like to share music on the night, please contact us if you’d like to play from 6 to 6.30, to welcome people arriving.
