DESCRIPTION:Connecting with Gaelic Paganism\nDr Colm McNaughton\nSaturday 14th June\, 2-5pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this three-hour introductory workshop\, Colm will guide you into the mysteries\, riches and contradictions associated with a Gaelic form of paganism. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether you are beginner or with a deep and grounded knowledge of this tradition in Gaeilge\, Colm’s presentation will inform\nand challenge you. \n\n\n\n\n\nThis three-hour outline will include: \n– Outline the emergence\, key developments and ruptures in Celtic culture.\n– Explore working with place in the context of Gaelic paganism.\n– Unearth the possibilities and tensions associated with reconstructionist and eclectic paganisms. – Discuss what it means to reclaim your pagan roots\, while living on the colonised land of another pagan/Indigenous people.\n– Together outline how to get started and/or deepen your pagan practices. \nCOST: $40 UNWAGED/ $50 UNDEREMPLOYED / $60 WAGED REGISTER: \nevents.humanitix.com/host/dr-colm-mcnaughton \nNo prior knowledge is needed. People of all faiths\, ethnicities and persuasions are invited\, all that is required is a curious mind! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nColm was born in Dandenong – Boonwurrung country – and spent most of his childhood in and around this area\, except for a few years living in the north of Ireland. He has a doctorate in Marxist theory and has worked in a diverse range of industries which include: construction\, media\, and higher education. Colm was a martial arts practitioner and instructor for twenty-four years. He has spent more than three decades healing intergenerational trauma within an emergent animist framework.
