Together with the local indigenous kids from EACH, ECOSS have created a space to prompt conversation about reconciliation.

Native Bee Wall We are committed to looking after our Native Bee’s here at ECOSS.  Wesley Mission clients are attending ECOSS every Monday, and their project is to build a Native Bee Wall similar to the above images.  Wesley friends are also working in the community garden.

ECOSS working with Cire Community School year 9 students to progress Earth Building Demonstration Walls.

As part of our Cultural Homes of the World representations ECOSS are building a small demonstration Earthship.

Cire Service year 9 students have built a functional biofiltration system here at ECOSS.  This was funded by Melbourne Water’s Rural Land Program, and some plants donated by Australian Ecosystems.

Three year 7 students from Cire Services will be looking after the ECOSS frog bog one day per week, and joining in on the Frog Census!

ECOSS hosted a Bushfire Safe Building workshop and tour facilitated by Tom Neil in collaboration with local CFA. This involved a presentation at ECOSS on Bushfire Safe building considerations and tours of homes in Warburton built to withstand bushfires. 

Dr Annie Yoffa was a world traveller, surgeon, psychiatrist, philosopher, published writer and student of Freud. She was also the first woman to hike the Warburton to Walhalla trail, across the Victorian Baw Baw Ranges, unaccompanied in 1929. She dedicated her life to the study of nature and was struck by lightning, in Mount Martha, while conducting research in the field of psychodynamics.

ECOSS created a Woi Wurrung creation story mural, depicting the story of how 'Man & Woman' were created.

Wash Against Waste ECOSS has a Wash Against Waste kit that is available to the community to hire to help fight the serious over use of plastic and paper plates, bowls, cups and cutlery that are not disposed of properly and all end up in landfill. Currently the kit consists of a hundred
